(1917-2007)

Well-known neighbour, friend and sometime stirrer, late of the Esplanade, Machans Beach.

Passed away Sunday 22 April 2007, aged 89 years.

At Bert's request, there won't be a funeral service so join friends

for a drink, a yarn and a farewell.

Outside Bert's place on the Esplanade from 4:00 pm on ANZAC day.

Tree planting and maintenance

Conservation Volunteers Australia

Shell Coast Care has provided funding to conduct an extra 5 days work on site. Duties include weeding, mulching, rubbish removal and limited tree planting.

This funding provides; a site supervisor, vehicle, tools etc and lunch.

The 5 days include;

The Green Corridor runs Barron River Fridays where local volunteers join in on -ground activities and May 4 & 18^th, June 1 & 29^th will be at Redden Island.

We also have nominated May 19^th (Sat) as a community involvement day.

All 5 days will conduct the above listed duties.
